Biography:
Ellen Ripley, most famously known as Ripley, is a central character in the Alien film franchise. Introduced in the 1979 film Alien, she begins as a Warrant Officer aboard the commercial space tug, Nostromo.
After discovering and engaging with a deadly extraterrestrial creature, Ripley becomes the sole survivor of the Nostromo crew. Her competence, bravery, and resourcefulness in the face of unimaginable terror define her character.
Ripley returns in sequels like Aliens (1986), where she takes on a maternal role towards Newt, a young survivor. She continues to fight the Xenomorphs and corporate greed, showing both incredible strength and vulnerability.
Played primarily by Sigourney Weaver, Ripley became an iconic figure in science fiction, subverting gender roles and establishing herself as a powerful and complex action hero.
